  1. It depends on what sort of live broadcast.

    You have at least two video connections on that GL2 (great camcorder, by the way)... Firewire and Composite. Heck, if needed, you can use both at the same time... but what are you plugging into? A computer for video streaming? Are you at a TV station? School campus?

    Tell us the back-end processing and we can tell you which connector on that camcorder will work best.

    Remember, the GL2 was designed as a camcorder - not a broadcast camera - they are very different...


  2. i would suggest you get a panasonic WJ-MX50 series mixer. that can synchronize and combine video sources plus mix the audio as well. This works with composite, or S-VHS connected equipment.  This was originally designed with live television and linear tape editing in mind.
