I have a car stereo, model RGCD412 and I get no FM but AM works fine. what is happening?

Car stereo model rgcd412. yesterday all was working fine but today all I am getting on FM is static but AM is working fine. I thought AM is harder to pick up? Anyway, I pulled radio and checked antenna connection and it is fine. When playing AM and I remove antenna, signal cuts out but when I plug antenna back in, station comes right back. The radio was in the car when I bought it and I know it is a cheap radio but dont really want to replace. Is my FM permanently dead?

there are chances the fm modulator may be dead.

not to worry can be fixed easily...

in between try resetting your head unit(read user manual)..if it still don't work..read the troubleshooting page.

in the end when nothing helps bringing the unit to life - get it fixed..
