I have a carpet cleaner that hooks up to the faucet and my cats chewed on the water hose and made 2 or three?

leaks in it. I put masking tape on it, but is there something better to fix it?

Temp fix is to get a bicycle tube repair kit and a s***w type clamp or two.  This type of clamp is circular and when you s***w the head on it it tightens down.  Put the rubber patches on the holes, then affix the clamp and tighten as much as you can without pinching the hose down.  When under pressure, the hose should expand and the patch plugs the hole.

This is commonly used in holes that appear in solid piping until they can be repaired, and I have seen them work for over a year before someone finally got around to fixing a copper water pipe.
