  1. did he have any shots lately?

if not then go the vet

  2. Perhaps he was bitten by a snake or spider, or stung by a wasp or scorpion. Take him to the vet just to make sure.

  3. My cat got bit one time it got all infected and puffy and he didn't meow either he just kinda stayed away from everybody.

  4. PLEASE TAKE THE CAT TO THE VET IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BEFORE IT GETS MORE SERIOUS! POOR LITTLE BABY!!! I GET ANGRY WHEN THESE THINGS HAPPEN! BE MORE RESPONSIBLE FOR GOD SAKE!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SORRY BUT PLEASE TAKE CARE OF THE CAT!!!!!!!!

  5. A scratch that got infected, an allergic reaction to the food you give him, an insect bite/sting. A snake bite, the list is endless... take him to the vet, that's the only way to be sure and get treatment for it, it won't go away by itself.

    =•]

  6. he could have an injury there. The puffiness is most likely swelling or inflammation. Animals not always cry like humans do when they are in pain. he could have a subcutaneous infection, or even a spider bite or something to that nature. Then again it could just be some strange occurance but I would definately take the little guy to the vet just to be on the safe side.

  7. u could ask the vet he would tell u the cure

  8. If a cat eats something that has red ants on it they bite the inside of the mouth and it swells.

If you can look inside the mouth for anything... such as a fox tail.

If it does not go down in a day or two I owuld take the cat in to the Vet.

If the cat is eating it shows that their is not much pain associated with what ever it is that is making the puffyness.

    good luck

  9. A puffy area means there's an injury or a reaction to an irritation.  Only a vet can diagnose the cause of the puffiness.  Possible causes can be:  reaction to insect sting/bite, scratch or puncture wound that has caused an abscess, tumour (could be either benign or malignant), dental problems causing inflammation or an allergic reaction to a substance that has gotten onto that area.

Once the vet has identified the problem, he may prescribe treatment such as anti-histamines, antibiotics or anti-inflammatories depending on what the problem is.  It may be something that will resolve on its own, but only a vet can make that decision.

  10. Oh my goodness! Of course you are going to take him to the vet. duh! You are obviously a responsible pet owner or else you wouldn't be concerned enough to ask a question on here. Sometimes things happen that you can't control. Don't let people get to you.

It might simply be an allergic reaction to something. Just take him to the vet and keep a close eye on him!

    Good luck!!!

  11. cat's don't 'meow in pain'.  they hide their pain at all costs.  Get your kitty to a vet for proper diagnosis and treatment since it could be a wide variety of things.  My cat had these symptoms, and it turned out she had a broken tooth - and yes, she ate very well on it.

  12. I'd take your cat straight to the vet. It could be an abscess or something. If one side of your face was all puffy you would go directly to the doctor? So thats where you should be taking your cat.
