I have a cd player that i need to install in a 96 dodge stratus helpi need instructions.?

My friend said that he know how to install it in my car but i am wondering should i let him. I have the wire harness and the manual that came with the cd player but how would he know what wire goes to what since the wire harness wires and the wire in the car are different colors?

Is there a diagram that shows what each wire mean in the car?

if you go to best buy you can get the female harness that fits your car for 10 bucks and it will have the exact colors as your deck and you can just go color to color

If the factory wires aren't labeled, test the pairs, 1 by 1 to figure out which speaker each set corresponds to. Say for example you hook up the 2 "green" wires and your front left speaker comes on, you should then put a piece of tape around those wires and mark the tape with a FL, so you know which wires to connect to the aftermarket wires. The red, yellow, and black wires will be the same from your factory wires and the aftermarket wires. If you still can't figure it out, take it to a shop. Most shops don't charge more than $35 to install HU's.

How bout you keep the cd player and burn the car and get something reliable that'll outlive the cd player.
