  1. very simple.

    go to the standby screen

type *#7370#, then it will ask for your security code. press ok

your phone will restart to its original settings (from the first time you purchase it)

ps. make sure that the battery is at least half full or put the charger on just to make sure. since this is a hard reset, make sure that you will backup all your contacts and messages first before formatting.

  2. Nokia phones don't support .exe files so your phone shouldn't be damaged. If it is, you should connect it to your PC and download and install software update. Then use the updater to restore your device to a new version of firmware.

Otherwise where it is located in gallery you should be able to just delete it.

What state is your phone in anyway, Does it operate?

  3. Sigh... The incompetence of the people posting here is truly staggering... It's frightening to think that some people might actually follow some of the "advice" that is being given here by some answerers... OK, let's try to sort out the nonsense in order:

    1) "wsgrnwj.exe" is not the name of a virus. It looks like a random file name to me. Now, some viruses for your phone model (e.g., some variants of the CommWarrior family which is reasonably widespread) indeed use randomly generated file names with an EXE extension. However, this fact alone is not sufficient to identify the virus exactly - and exact identification is a must before removal is attempted.

    2) Reflashing the firmware is *never* necessary in order to remove a virus. Don't mess with such stuff, or you might end with a brick instead of a phone.

    3) Formatting the phone is an overkill and will also destroy every modification made by the user - phone book entries, games and other software, ringtones, themes, etc. In addition, it will format only the main memory of the phone. If this is indeed a CommWarrior variant, it has most probably infected the MMC card too - which means that it will immediately re-infect the phone from there during the reboot caused by the formatting. If you are going this route (formatting the phone) at least make sure you remove the MMC card first and delete its contents using an MMC card reader attached to a PC before inserting it back into the phone.

    4) This particular model of Nokia phone uses the Symbian S60 R2 operating system (for which viruses are indeed relatively widespread) - and this OS *does* support EXE files, thank you very much. Their format is quite different from the EXE files that run on a PC, but they do exist.

    5) The best way to remove a virus is by using an anti-virus program that can detect, recognize, identify and remove it. See the link below for a relatively good one - but it requires (paid) registration before you can use it.

  4. ok don't panic..lol..all you need to do is format your phone and your memory card..this will solve your problem...Hope it helps!!
