The thing is this boot hurts a lot, and it cut my flesh like heck! and they only want $250 for it and they only have been used on a 80 year old for 2 months. There is some things (not big) that need to be fixed, but they hurt a lot idk, and my feet seem snugged in pretty good. My coach says that it will hopefully last 2 years. I'm not used to the support, and it gives a lot. the tip of the boot doesn't have a lot of padding, (we're going to have to get bunga pads...) but anyways, please give me a review of this boot and blade if you can! all is appreciated!

  1. If you think it's just a tad too snug you can always have it punched out a little wherever it's too uncomfortable.

  2. REMBER YOU NEED COMFORT WHEN YOU SKATE. YOU CAN'T PUT A PRICE ON THAT>

  3. DON'T BUY IT. SKATE SHOULD BE SNUG, NOT UNCONFORTABLE. IT IS NOT WORTH IT. YOU WILL REGRET IT!

  4. You say your feet are snug in the boots. Snug is good as long as it is snug and not an overly tight fit.

One thing I can tell you is that if your feet do not lie flat - that is, if your toes are curled at all while your feet lie in the boots - this will affect your speed very much. It will slow you down as it will not allow your entire foot to flex enough to give you 100% on each push you take on the ice.

Other thoughts...I'm surprized that pattern 99 blades are on these boots as the pattern 99's are in a more advanced chategory than the silver star boots.

New boots usually cause pain at first but if these boots are cutting into the flesh, I'd rather spend more money and feel right about the boots I'm buying. Maybe you should buy the package deal just for the blades as these blades cost more than 250 by themselves.  Then get boots you like that fit better. The question is do the boots fit you properly? That is the key thing.

Good luck. Wish I could be more help.

  5. hello=) it may hurt because they are not bronken-in and u are not used to it. You could walk in your house 1 hour daily with your guards on and at first skate a bit and then try to stop. I think riedell is a very popular brand, and it should be great you have to get used to support, because if you dont have any aknle support you will never get your jumps.

Good Luck and congrats 4ur new skates. PD: They have a great price!=D
