  1. For a new bike check out the Trek 3700s, Raleigh Mojaves, and Specialized Hardrocks.  But if I were you i would take a look on some bicycle classifieds to find one used.  I get used parts all the time on Pinkbike.com.  If you take a look in the buy and sell section im sure you can find some local people who are selling what you want.

  2. yeah i would try craigslist too they have good prices

  3. There is a all terrain bike made by a Malaysian car manufacturer, Proton, which are exceptionally cheap and as i recall is called the T-bike. I had the opportunity to ride one, and OH MY GOD that bike would go through all the obstacles and corners sharply, with exceptional shocks.

This bike would cost around $250.

  4. ask someof your friends....

    if they know anywhere...

    where to find some bikes...

this is especially helpful if you live in a city....

  5. If you want new, only stores like Walmart have them for that price. And they're JUNK, even brand new. I'd take a look at craigslist for something used but not abused.

  6. I would try to find a used bike that is in decent shape. By used, I mean a bike that cost $700-900 new, and is 3-4 years old. If it was maintained properly, it will work great, and you could easily find this for $200. I just paid $150 for a K2 off of craigslist that was originally $1500, and it needed very little done to it. You could pick up a Gary Fisher or a Trek and be in good shape. Look on craigslist.org, you'll have no problems.
