I have a checking and savings account with citizens bank. My checking account is overdrawn and I guess it may be on my credit report because its been overdrawn since july 2007. However my savings account is still active. Also I checked my credit report on free creditreport.com and seen an error they have my year of birth 1988 when it should be 1987. Would I be able to open up another account with another bank and if not can my girl add me as a joint account.

  1. 1. "overdrawn sins July 2007"????? how kan that be.

If yu hav negativ balans, bank will tell yu, & fine yu...charj yu fees & penaltees.  Thees add tu negativ number.  It keep getting bigger negativ evree month.  Soon yu oe bank a zilyun dollars.  B4 that bank get nasty.

  2. You should check with the small print when you got your checking account in relation to overdrawn accounts.  I believe every five days your are overdrawn you will be charge an overdrawn fee.  That can rack up big dollars in a short time.  If you have not taken care of this I suggest you check with the bank.  They are happy to charge you a overdrawn fee every five days.

Go to the bank and find out what is going on.   Check your balance on your checking account.  If you do not take care of this, you will not be able to establish any new account with any bank.

You are in for a reawakening

  3. Hello, The Credit Report will still be the same even with the error on your DOB, They usually go by your Social Security Number. If you want to open a checking account, you can still open one at any other bank as long as its not Citizens Bank. I have had a over draft for 2 years not paid, and still in dispute. I decided to open an account with someone other than the the bank with the problem. Now your girlfriend if she opens it with citizens, she should not add you as joint. My suggestion, Open a New Checking Account with someone else, or just pay the overdrawn fee. If (Citizens) Bank is having a hard time collecting, They sometimes go into your other accounts (Savings) and take the money out without asking. You have a choice you could open a new account with someone else or just pay the overdrawn fee. I hope this helps
