  1. To just say Chevy 350 you aren't providing much information. This engine came in many different configurations. So an intelligent response can't be given with respect to fuel supply and intake issues.

That said, first make sure the spark plug wires are correctly connected (firing order). Next, timing is the most likely culprit.  Set the timing to factory specs.  This is easy to do yourself. All you need is a simple timing light from a local auto supply store.  Also could be spark plug gap or bad plug wires.

Online link for inexpensive timing light below. Next link is a good how-to.

    Good luck.

  2. makesure you plug wires are on right, then replace ,cap ,rotor, which may have a hole burn,t threw it,and while inspecting things look at the control module for corrosion, and inspect the pick up coil in the distributor, for a broken wire or alot of green corrosion, go ahead ,don,t be scared you can do it

  3. flamer throwers do this by putting a spark plug in tail pipe and dumping loads of gas through system.

  4. sounds like your fuel mixture is a little rich.  you've got too much gas getting passed the cylinder.

  5. put a timing light on it, its timing

  6. Sounds like you got a timing problem(timing chain jumped, spark plug wires hooked up wrong, bad distributor0 Should be one of those.

  7. It sounds like the timing is off...  That would cause this.  Probably too rich, it's probably retarded too much...  Get a timig light and check the timing.

    Hope it helps
