Has your child been evaluated? In the US, early intervention provides FREE services for children with delays and disabilities who are under 3. Public Schools are required to provide "appropriate services" for children 3-21.

You speech therapist is your very best resource! They can help you find informative books and sites. They should educate and make many recommendations for games and activities which will address your child's specific needs!

Please know that speech delays often are related to oral motor function/ muscle strength. The most important way to improve muscle strength is to exersize... talk! Unless your speech therapist has recommended otherwise, please don't plug your child in! TV, videos and computer games are unlikely to improve expressive language skills.

The therapist who works with him and knows his exact developmental level and type of delay should be the one to recommend sites for you, not someone on YA.

Starfall is a fun website that he might enjoy, however, the best thing you could do for him is encourage him to express himself verbally.  Has he been evaluated by his doctor?  His hearing should be checked, and he should be examined to determine if there are physical problems that could be hindering speech development.  Assuming that you have already done this, encourage him to use his speech as much as possible.  Be sure that you are using clear articulation yourself when you are speaking because you are modeling for him.  If he mispronounces a word, help him by saying watch my mouth, then you say the word.  Don't discourage him by doing this with every word he says.  You could choose a sound to work on each week, such as the ssss sound or the tttt sound.  Start with simple ones and work up to combinations like sh, ch, etc.  Encourage him to talk as much as possible.  If he isn't able to clearly articulate what he wants, let him point, then say "Oh, you want milk?  Say milk.  You try it."  and give him the milk.  Web sites won't be as much help to him in the area of speech as you can be!
