  1. No, dont use anything other than white gas of some kind. It should say white gas or Naphtha

  2. Go to your camping supply store and ask for Coleman fuel.  It will be the right thing for your stove.

  3. white gas is merely super unleaded ..years ago we did not have unleaded gas at all so you had to buy coleman fuel for it is white gas....We had a service station that sold "white gas" in a 55 gallon drum with a hand crank on it that you could buy any amount that you wanted just bring your own container...The old gas for vehicles were ethyl and premium..which was leaded the white gas was merely unleaded gas that cars did not operate off of at the time..simply buy super unleaded gas..it is the same thing..all gas back then contained lead for vehicles..white gas was an unleaded that was refined a little better only the took the lead out..I have had many of these lanterns...

  4. Yes you can use unleaded, regular will work fine. White gas was just gasoline ( not Naptha ) with no additives. Regular unleaded now does have detergents and usually ethanol added but is fine. Gasoline , before cars was used as a spot cleaner, dry cleaning fluid and for stoves and lanterns. Not everyone had gas piped to thier homes.

Edit: Kerosene will not work well, it is not volatile enough. Does not vaporize as well in the gas generator of the burners.

Naptha is more slightly volatile than gasoline and is sold as lighter fluid, like for Zippo lighters.

  5. Use white gas, or coleman fuel. Do not use gasoline unless you want to hear sirens and live in a burn unit. The flash point for gasoline is about 45 degrees lower than that of white gas.

  6. You need a white persons gas, because were full of methane.

  7. No, you can't use regular gas, unless you want to blow up, or kerosene either.  White gas is a  much more highly refined form of kerosene, which burns very, very clean.   You'll have to find somewhere, probably a store than sells camping gear, that sells it and be sure to use just that in the stove.

  8. Gasoline IS Naphtha. But there is a whole range of grades.

I would use coleman fuel in a coleman camp stove. haha.

You can use unleaded gasoline but gasoline might have some additional additives as detergents or as a lead replacements to reducing knocking. (lead slowed the "explosion" in the cyclinder).

Coleman "White gas camp stove fuel" (what it says on the label- I just checked)  is a much cleaner product and since you are standing over it cooking, maybe breathing some fumes, I would want the cleanest fuel.

  9. White gas is a special type of fuel used in camp stoves and old time blowtorches. Do NOT use gasoline or kerosene.
