  1. probally around 500 dollars your lucky though 3 more mph and you would have automatically been charged with wreckless driving and excessive speeding

  2. Call the number on the ticket.

  3. And the reason you have to appear in court is it is over 15 miles per hour over the posted speed limit and requires you (or an attorney on your behalf) make an appearance.

The fine will be minimum $100, maximum $1,000.

    See http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/people/injury/e... for more.

  4. That's 17 over... probably a $200 fine and another $200 or $300 in other costs.

  5. Under North Carolina traffic laws, your driving privilege will be revoked for at least 30 days if you are convicted of:

Driving any vehicle more than 15 mph over the speed limit, if you are driving at a speed higher than 55 mph.

According to the stats from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration the deep southeast and New England includes four of the ten U.S. states carrying the highest fines for speeding--Georgia, North Carolina, Maryland and New Hampshire.

All hit up speeders for a maximum of $500 or more for a first offense. Judges in Carolina and Georgia, not to mention 16 other states, have the discretion to add jail time.
