I have a clipping of a trumpet plant how could I get it to grow roots so I can plant it?

I hace a small clipping of a trumpet vine how can I get it to take root and grow for me

please make my day and have and answer, I have it in water with rapid grow

HELP!!!!!!

  1. keep it in a narrow glass with that rapid grow. dont over do it with the rapid grow and keep it in sunlight


  2. you can just stick it in a pot of soil. Keep the soil damp and mist the plant with water a few times a day to keep the foliage from drying up. Pull off the lower set of leaves before sticking in the soil. It should put out roots in a week or so.

  3. Dip the cut end in rooting hormone, it's a powder used for plant propagation. Try a Lowe's or I think Wal-Mart carries it. Dip it in then put it into clean, moist soil. Keep soil moist for week, and place bag over top of plant for warmth. Keep out of sun for week. Should start to develope roots. Keep in mind, they grow like weeds once established!
