Question:

I have a cold and cant sleep help!?

just caught the cold, its at the point of I cant breath through my nose and I cant stop coughing.

I'm about 15 so going to get meds is out of the question

its 5 am now I'm just now feeling the full blow of the cold so my parents don't know yet. I do Have the options of making hot tea and my mom just bought honey yesterday but we don't have any ginger ok ya wait we do its ground ginger tho so don't think they'll help....

I did ask a friend she said have hot tea with lemon and honey in it...

I need a method to get to sleep and be able to stay that way

oh and my bath/shower is broken and currently needs repair so a hot bath/shower is out of the question.

pls I need help getting to sleep!

  1. use a curved straw then insert it to your nose then suck it then spit it away.

          -this is effective-


  2. Do the tea. Run hot water in your sink and put a towel over it to trap the steam. When there is lots of steam in there, stick your head under the towel and breath in the steam. That will help a tiny bet with your congestion.

  3. try drinking hot milk with honey in it! if meds r out of reach & turn off the AC when u sleep if it is separated in u'r room & one thing try nasal drops u can get them in any super market they r not that dangerous so u don't need any prescription they will help u to breath as this will also help u to sleep the maine thing is try to stay warm! at the end of the day don't worry it just a cold it will pass after few days, if u don't feel better I suggest u visit a doctor just to fast things up! hope this helps!!

  5. well your gonna need some advil and stay inside for like forever and dont eat too much youll vomit and drink 7up and put salt in its like a little remedy itl stop your coffing for a while

  6. Aww sucks. Well, it takes your body seven minutes to fall asleep, so I would suggest trying to just lie in bed with your eyes closed, pull up the covers so your nice and cozy, try to not think about your cold, and relax. When I can't get to sleep I try to solve problems in my head. If that doesn't work, spray lavender in your room, make hot chocolate. You will fall asleep eventually.  

  7. Try to sleep as elevated as you can. If you have a bed post, prop up a pillow on it and try to sleep sitting upward, it should help with the congestion a bit.

  8. Heat up a mug or a bowl of water in the microwave really hot so it gets steamy and put your face over it and try to breath in. The only problem is once you lay down again you'll probably get plugged up all over again, but it's worth a shot. :( Feel better hun!

  9. Buy some Vix vapour rub and dynatap because it clears your nose. Take a couple of panadol or nurofen. Try to forget about it, I no its hard.
