  1. Genital warts are simply common warts that grow on your genitals. If you have a wart on your genitals, it's GENITAL warts. All warts are caused by some strain of HPV, and certain strains prefer hands, others like feet, and some like the human crotch. Sorry, but I'd have to say your doctor needs to go back and read the chapter on STDs. Either that, or he was trying not to hurt your feelings. When you say the warts were "tested," HOW? Did he tell you what strain number it was?

You CANNOT use over-the-counter wart remover to remove these warts. It is too harsh for the delicate tissue on your p***s. If you do use the stuff, it could burn or scar you and it might be really painful. Go back to your doctor and get them frozen off again or removed with laser treatments.

With that said, I'd recommend that you notify current and future s*x partners that you could have HPV, and that they should get vaccinated with Gardasil to protect themselves against some forms of HPV.
