  1. Hello,

Rayt721 has it right on, I joined about one year ago and I can explain in detail if you would like the process, you will not make any real income and whoever says they are is misleading you. I have several thoughts for you and I am always available to answer your questions and help in anyway I can.

  2. rayt721 is absolutely correct!

  3. I received a information pack in the mail.  Not sure if scam or not, did not do any research, because of no interest.  SMC-Specialty Merchandise Corporation.  Some type of home based business. You are selling the company's products.

  4. SMC is not a scam. I have worked with them professionally for many years. Their business is an excellent business. I have made money from working with them. They are a great company to work for in the wholesale trade.

  5. I have never heard of them and you haven't given any info other than initials.

The rule I always use is that if someone I don't know calls me to offer me something I didn't ask for, I don't need it.  In this case, if they are randomly calling you and trying to get money out of you in some way, you should ignore it.  I consider that phone call to be no different than the email you get saying you won a contest you didn't enter and never heard of.  It's a scam - run the other way!

I hope you didn't give them any of your information.

  6. You will find MLM Companies will pick up any one they can !

If you have any advertising anywhere, I find I get mail sent via Post, plus the Internet

I cinstantlt get mail both in e0mail and in actual documents in the post

They go straight into the bin.

    I have had 15 years now with all this C;;;

Lost money on scams, Gurus just selling their latest info, products, all quoting the Thousands of Dollars they are reaping in

There is money to be made.!!!

    But where?

I picked a guy , with my gut feeling, over 5 years ago, who was doing something different , and I knew he was honest , giving , genuine and a very caring person for his fellow man

I have not been proved wrong.

I do not do any other program.

But I read a lot , I try to better my skills, and I still look to just contact people who are caring about you, not their pockets!, that can give you some more knowledge.

  7. There is a company called SMC that you can buy wholesale merchandise from.

However they do have many scams using their initials to scam people.

My guess these are scams and to my knowledge they do not solicit people via cold calling.  I would not reply to them.

  8. iT IS Specialty Merchandising Corporation..... RUN as fast as you can.....and      DO NOT SEND THEM ANY MONEY FOR YOU WILL REGRET IT AND never get it back.  I got mine back but it took me a month.  I threatened them with a lawsuit from my Attorney!!!! It Worked!!

  9. SMC is a legitimate wholesale company. We use some of their products but not all. In 5 years we have had only one complaint and one return for damaged item. There is a membership fee but you can have it returned when you sell so much product. I f you push the catalogs, you can make a lot of money, because there are several people who are interested. Their e commerce is kinda pricey, however if you do SEO many of their sites are in tops of search engines. Can't argue with success. However most our clientele prefers to have American Made products, so we found an alternative. They are no different than many other wholesalers who charge fees for membership.I can tell you about one instance of excellent customer service. A lady called at midnight our time and needed 50 items and she needed them in Denver in two days. We were able to deliver the product on time and got a bonus from the lady in Denver! Anyone who has that good of customer service, I choose to do business with them.

I do not believe they do cold calls either, but infomercials, and mailings. Call them and talk to customer service. I am not pushing for the business, just trying to get at the truth.

If you work at all with them, you can make money!

Good luck and God bless your efforts.

    Rob

  10. For god's sake don't do that. In fact I would suggest you to stay away from any type of network marketing businesses. I have lost a lot of money in them.

Instead try to do something that your are passionate about.

  11. SMC is a company you can buy things from to "resell" to other people.  It's a variety of items such as dragon statues and vases.

They are legitimate, but the appeal is not very broad and reeks of "chachkee's".

Check out the website - it's your choice but I think if you tell them not to call back they would respect it.

  12. SMC is a reputable company but what looks like quality merchandise isn't. The prices look good because the cost is low and the suggested retail prices are high. You can't sell at suggested retail. The shipping costs will eat up much of what would be profit. The worst part of all like you said is they call you over and over and over and over. Demand they take your name off their list and steer clear of any offers that sound too good to be true... they usually are.

  13. I don't know any details, but they are advertised on infomercials lately.  They sell nicknacks and dust collectors, right?

I bet they want a sum of money from you to set up a distributorship.  I'd like to know if they asked for something like this?

I didn't know they direct called as well as TV ads.

  14. Yea, I got suckered into this.  I lost ALOT of money.  The thing is if you try to sell online, you'll find over a million other people out there selling the exact same stuff from SMC and there is no way to get them to really notice your site because it's not "original" merchandise. I tried mailorder, my own web page, and catalog distribution and it was all c**p.  I even tried Ebay and other auction sites, but like I said there are millions of other people out there selling from SMC and usually they only ask for a 1 cent profit. I dunno how they do it, but you can't ever get your asking price to actually make any money.

I also must warn you that the commercial and flyers are misleading. You can tell the merchandise is cheap c**p. Very poorly made. I say stay away from this and like the other person said... RUN.....
