  1. Got to an MS DOS prompt and type: FORMAT C: and FORMAT D:

  2. A] find your Public folders and cull those files. start, username [ or personal folder ],links, public. careful on the Picture/Sample Pic,those are your desktop images [ which you can replace.

    B] dump BOTH temp folders[ start,my computer,local disk drive [C],temp,dump and continue to,Windows,temp [ see,TWO of'em!]

continue to prefetch folder and dump that.

right click recycle bin, select properties, use slider to back down to say,3% and regain 10% freed up memory. d9o the same for system restore. get ANOTHER 10% back.

more pictures to cull, start,my computer, local disk drive, windows, users, web, pictures. these are your username icons on the top of the start page

don't forget to dump History files in internet options

  3. delete old memory and restore it !i

  4. First go to your control panel, then add/remove programs.

After that, remove anything you don't use anymore.

Then, check to see if your disk needs defragging.

Click start, all programs, accessories, system tools, disk defrag.

From that same point, you can also go to disk cleanup.

    Try that, and good luck.

  5. I am not sure if you are talking about physical memory or harddisk space. Either way though the D drive in most computers is the cd rom drive so if thats the case then you dont need to worry about the D drive. If you program another harddrive to be D then run a defragment under accessories and system tools. Also run a disk cleanup under the same menu to get rid of unused junk. You can also simply go through the computer and delete certain programs or music that is not needed anymore. This should clear up harddisk space and memory space available. If its more memory you need shut down some of the programs you have running in the background to clear that up or upgrade your RAM.

  6. go to your start menu and at the bottom type disk cleanup. follow those instructions. you can also uninstall some large programs that you dont use. if that doesent work then you have a virus that filled up your drives. you will have to restore the system. about 130 dollars if you dont have a restore disk.

  7. http://www.ccleaner.com

  8. Delete programs that you are not using, i.e., games, turn off the backup files, delete all internet files, and defragment.

  9. Well Go to Drives Properties and Delete all the Junk out ! Or go to add remove software and Get rid of all the Unwanted software that is Taking Up space !

The best thing is to transfer all the useful data Onto the C drive and then Format the D drive completly ! and move all the data onto D drive !
