Not sure whether I can just plug a US power cord in and the transformer will deal accordingly with the different voltage. I suspect I'm being naive, guess I'm just hopeful!

Cheers for any help.

  1. On the back of the PSU, close to where the lead goes in, there should be a slider switch (usually red) that allows you to switch between incoming voltages.

Get that wrong, and something will go pop ;-)

  2. If it wont plug in all you need to do is go to radio shack and get an converter, shouldn't cost you too much I think my mom got one for my sister for ten bucks.

  3. Depends entirely on what PSU you have...some PSU's have an auto switching current, some have a manual switch on the back that will allow you to change the current, and others are fixed current...like i say, it depends which one you have...

My solution...buy a converter, thats what i do for all the american stuff i've brought back over here lol

  4. Check on the back of the PSU - some have a 110/220 switch you just flick over.

Otherwise - $50 for a PSU from the local computer shop.
