I want to put self adhesive vinyl tiles on my very small bathroom concrete floor (3'x5') and half 1/2' border above the shower walls. What are my best options - plywood or concrete or bakerboard? Concrete floor is almost smooth. Have frames/studs above the shower walls. If possible, please tell me basic steps to install these vinyl tiles.

  1. If the floors are smooth then you should have no problem. Do what you will like. I do suggest however to go to a hardware store and try to find a glue in a can, elmers makes a good product. I would just clean your area really good and then spray the glue down where you want to lay the tile, dont cheat yourself use a decent amount. You will want to find the center of the room and work off from there. When you get to corners Lowes sells a neat and very usefull tool that will help you with your angles. It has like a row of small pins and you push it into the corner or space you need to trim and use it to make your cuts. Good luck and have fun!

  2. Don't!!!!!!!!!!!..........--------- Paint it. You will be surprised how good it can look. Its cheaper, better, and easy to change.

  3. clean the floor real good  put the tiles down dry see the pattern you are going to use  draw i line where you want to start

make yourself a cup of coffee and start   good luck

  4. Peel and stick tiles suck.  Your better of with the good contractor grade tiles, and real glue.  The glue goes down in a thicker layer, adheres to the concrete better, and lasts longer
