Contract is good thru August. They are not assigning me work so they do not have to pay. There is plenty of work but they want to reduce their expenses and have done underhanded things not to pay me. I wan't to sue for damages.

  1. You really, really need an attorney to look at the contract for you.  Whether you can sue depends on how the contract is worded.  If it reads something like "We'll send you work when we want to", (in fancy language), there probably is not a lot you can do.  Without looking at the language of the contract, no one can tell you accurately if you have a case or not.

  2. You can certainly sue, but it might be hard to prove that there really is "plenty of work".  If your contract calls for work on an "as needed" basis, you might be out of luck.

Hope it works out for you.

  3. the only leg that you have to stand on is a client that is willing to ''testify''  that the co. took them as their client and then they refuse to pay you your commission. Just because they say no work for you doesn't mean that you can sue and win ======== go and find another company to consult and do NOT get a bad track record as """SUE  HAPPY""" ....... consider the present contract null --- move on --- it is better to progress than quit ...
