Now, a few days ago my brother picked up a copy of Jack's Mannequins upcoming album The Glass Passenger from a store. It only costed 99 cents and its a little over a month before it comes out. The thing the disk is in says "Restricted Release" and says the music is watermarked and that it should only be used by the person it was issued to and that person is responsible for the music and they should be the only one who listens to it etc.. It says it was given to the store my brother bought it at, so would that mean the store is responsible if the police learn about the CD? If not what would you recommend doing about the CD.

  1. Well telling about it on the internet isn't a good idea.

  2. Well I think the store was wrong to sell something that was given to them. They made a profit on something that wasn't meant to be profited on, but I'm not sure if I understood your question correctly.

Either way I don't think you should be worried, the police don't really get involved with things like that, there is a Federal organization that normally deals with it. I forget what its called but they only target people who download thousands of songs illegally from Lime wire and similar sites. Nobody is going to find out about the CD and you have nothing to worry about.
