I have honeysuckles, dahlias, daffodils, and azaeleas along with a few other shrubs. I poured salt water over them by accident and now they have wilted and turned black and certain parts of each plant has died.

How can I revive them and make them healthier? I watered them, the day after they wilted, but what else can I do to see them green and beautiful again? I really really hope it's possible to heal them :(

Can you guys please give me any suggestions? I just feel terrible for what I did. Please help!

  1. Regular water (H20) is considered the "Universal Solvent" when poisoning occurs. Diluting with water is always the easiest and most practical way to solve any type of potential poisoning whether it be plants or animals.

  2. If your plants are in the ground and the soil provides for good drainage, the only thing you can do now is "leach" your yard by flooding the plants with water.  This will dilute the salt.

It won't save the dead leaves but it MAY slow down any absorption of the salts by the plants.
