  1. 1) When my dog would pee, i would pour hot water on the peed area and then soak up all excess liquid, once it has been dried i would then use a deodarizing spray to help further remove urine smells from the area.

    2) This will vary, seems like you have a puppy it could take up to a year, most of the GSD ive seen already had upstanding ears at 5 months.

    3) My female puppy is spayed and my other adult dog is neutered, a lot cleaner, no wierd behavior, nicer disposition, etc.

    4) I put our crate in the kitchen, easier to cleanup if there are any accidents

    5) the longest living dog was: "The dog widely reported to be the longest-lived on record is "Bluey," purportedly born in 1910 in Australia. He died in 1939 at the age of 29.5 years. Bluey is usually identified as an Australian Cattle Dog, but the first Australian Cattle Dog breed standard was written in 1902, only eight years before Bluey's birth. It is unclear how closely Bluey was related to the breed as it exists today. The Bluey record is anecdotal and unverified. The longest verified records are of dogs living to 24 years. (wikianswers)

  2. 10 points always goes to the best answer.  It just works out that way.

    1. Yes, soap & water with a little bleach

    2. My GSD's ears never have stood up erect. She is a pet quality dog so they will never stand erect.  Poor breeding.

    3.  Spay/neuter is a very good thing, especially for pet quality dogs.

    4.  I would not use a crate.  I don't like the ideas of caging a child.

    5.  There is a rule of thumb that says that the smaller the dog the longer the life span & the bigger the dog the shorter the life span.

  3. 1. Wash what with? If the dog is going where it should, there is nothing to wash!

    2. Not sure...never had a GSD puppy. Call a breeder and ask.

    3. Do you mean do you "have" to? No, but it is the responsible thing to do.

    4. It's entirely up to you. I have always kept crates in the downstairs, but some people keep them in the bedroom.

    5. Someone asked that a while back. Do a google search for world's oldest dog.

  4. 1) Clean the area with a disinfectant that is not ammonia based and is labelled as safe for use around pets or children. Maybe something available from the pet shop. Also something which is carpet safe.

    2) The pups ears should be stood up before they are 7 months but this varies with each dog.

    3) It is strongly recommended that you neuter your dog/*****, this is to prevent unwanted pups but also to protect against illness which can happen in older dogs if they haven't been done. A male should be done around 6months onwards and a female between 9-13months approx 9 weeks after her season.

    4) We leave the crate in the kitchen so that when we get up in the morning they are close to the yard so they can quickly go out for a wee. We did have it upstairs for a while but when they bursting in the morning sometimes they couldn't hold it.

5)"Bluey" was an Australian Cattle Dog who herded cattle and sheep in Australia for nearly twenty years before retiring.  The dog died in 1939 at the age of 29 years, five months.  Another dog, an Australian Cattle Dog / Labrador mix, died in 1984 reportedly at the age of 32 years and 3 days, but this case was not fully documented, and so it is not official

  5. 1)Neither there is a special product for that you can buy it in your local pet store or walmart anywhere they sell dog products.

2)A couple of months or weeks dont worry it will get there I used to have one and its ears didnt stand up until he was a couple of months old.

3)I dont really get what you where asking here but nothing it will be perfectly fine after you spay or neuter it

4)Anywhere really but its best if the livingroom.

5)Im not sure about that but let me think well the german sheperds have been around for 100 hundred years you might want to look it up on google.
