  1. How about making some handmade greeting cards?

I started making them about a year ago as a hobby, but recently I've started selling them.  So far, I've had a great response, and lots of repeat customers.  Maybe you could make a bunch with animal themes for your co-workers.

  2. dog biscuits or cat treats -- they sell really well -- one girl I know even made gourmet dog biscuits and put them in cute bags and sold out and had to go home and make more.  We used a web site that had recipes on it.   I can't find the one we used, but the ones below look helpful.

Popcorn balls - the ones made with marshmallows --every time we have sold them we have run out within the first couple of hours -- don't use microwave popcorn - to make them really neat, we bought sprinkles and rolled them in the sprinkles immediately after forming them into balls

  3. Depending on how far away the fair is, you could buy a packet of catnip or catmint and maybe paint or mosiac some cheap terracotta pots to grow it in.  Catnip is easy to grow and quite pretty and mosiacing pots isn't hard... you just need to go to a hardware store, buy some tiling glue and grout, and some pretty glass stones or tiles (they have bags of 'em in dollar stores).  Then, glue the stones in a pattern on the pot and fill in the cracks with the grout (after mixing it with a little water).  If you get white grout you can change the colour of it by adding acrylic paints (I find the best colours come from test pots, again from a hardware store).

The pots might even be ok by themselves, but with the catnip, all the cat owners would love them.

  4. make a korean delicacy DOG...mmmmmm my mouth is watering

  5. Write poems, prayers and praises,  print it on pretty computer paper and frame them.
