  2. other than the possibility that your CD-drive is TOO OLD to be recognized by Windows Vista (b.t.w. Vista and XP are 2 different versions), I don't see how your version of Windows can be any cause of you losing your CD driver.

    The webcam for sure has no influence in this.

    By the way, this is in the wrong category.
