I have a current U.S. passport. Do I still need a DS-1350 to prove my citizenship to Immigration?

  1. If you have a current US Passport you have all the documentation you need for entering or leaving the USA. Just make sure to never let it expire getting one then is a royal pain in the ****.


  2. If you have a US passport, you should not need one. It would probably only have been in a case where you were attempting to travel on an expired or  you needed to replace your passport, then you would need to have a copy of your birth cerficate and the DS 1350 However, the mere fact that you have a US passport indicates that your birth overseas was already recorded at a US embassy which allowed the issuance of the passport.
