I have a curtis mathes 5.1 ch. speaker system.?

For some reason, when I turn the system on, it just stays on stand by. I tried to use the remote and manually change to games/AUX, and TV but it wouldnt change. I have no idea what is wrong with this surround sound system.

Is it too late to return this? This looks like some cheap electronics, stuff not worth fixing then just throwing away in a few years.

Anyways, Can you connect something else to it to get sound from any source? I would check the sources, then the connections, then the manual if further problems persist.

Have you ever even used this system before? If not maybe the product it faulty???

One possibility (from several) could be that there is a wire or something crossing (in line or at directn connections etc.) and it is turning the system off or on standby. My old stereo would do that.
