Question:

I have a cyst! Help!?

I have a cyst on my upper left leg, so I went to a dermatologist. They injected it with steroids to make it shrink. It started shrinking after a few days, but now it's back to its previous size.

The dermatologist said that if it didn't shrink then they'd have to surgically remove it, and it looks like they will have to.

I really wanna know what kind of cyst it is. It's not discolored or anything and it doesn't hurt. It feels like there's a round ball inside of it, and it's about three centimeters across.

Help me find out what cyst it is please.

  1. There are many types of cysts.

Most common are 'sebaceous cysts'. Other problems like lymph cyst, ganglion, baker's cyst etc are also common.

    Definitive treatment is surgical removal.
