I have also had a guppie with tail gone (who is no longer in the tank) and also a tetra??? that had a chunk off his head and blood spot under its gill that is no longer in the tank. My water tested perfectly normal and all these fish have been together for almost a year. I have a larger tetra that is a little nippy but I never thought it would be this bad. They all seemed to be great fish together until now.

  1. I agree you should remove the agressive fish then treat the injured with melafix you can get it @ any pet store even walmart. It will heal any wound & it protects against secondary infections & bacterial ones. But if you don't remove the agressor then you will continue to have the same problem & it can become worse & turn into  fin rot.

  2. What kind of Tetra is it? I've had problems with Red Eye Tetras being very aggressive and nippy. He ate half the tail off one of my guppies, so I moved him to a different tank. the smaller breeds of Tetras (glow light, neon, rummy nose, cardinal)  seem to be much more docile in comparison to the larger ones. I'd remove the bully if I were you.
