i'm 18 and this moning when i started to brush my teeth i noticed a dark red bump on my lower right gums, where my wisdom teeth would be. However my wisdom teeth still have't come it, at all. The bump looks like a perfect round bubble filled with blood. It doesn't hurt, so i have left it alone for now. It's about the size of this "O" maybe a little bigger, and it's a perfect circle. What could this be? What should i do?

  1. it could possibly be an absess.

is it on top of your gums or on the side?

i worked at an endodontist office (root canal guy) for a year, and tons of people came in with mysterious red blistery bumps on their gums.

    they were typically absesses.

i'm not a dentist, so i don't really know what they are caused by or really what they are besides blister-like bubbles on the gums.

if it stays around for more than a week, i would go into your regular dentist to get it checked out, or even call and describe it to them, it could save you a trip.

    hope this helps!

  2. I have 2 it's called a boil. Just don't pop it. My aunt popped hers and she said you can be spitting for days it and tastes awful.Eventually it will go away.If not go to the dentists office.
