About 3 to 4 years ago, while a college student, I recieved a card from clout without me even requesting it. During those times I was experiencing some financial dificulties and I couldnt repay the debt. Now that I read they closed their doors Im wondering if I should bother paying the debt. Was it erased from the credit history?

  1. When companies close their receivables are often sold off.

I would wait and see if you get a bill from anybody.

  2. You still need to pay the debt.

  3. The debt is owned by VISA, not 'clout.'

You still will need to repay it, only someone else will be administering the debt.
