I have a dell dimension 310 and need to do a total system restore how do i do it?

i know its built into the system but dont know what buttons to push

If you purchased it after 7/14/2004 then you probably have PC Restore by Symantec installed on a hidden partition on your hard drive. If the hard drive has never been reformatted, then at the Dell splash screen hit and hold the Control tab on keyboard, then hit F11 once and release both buttons at the same time. This should boot the program and once completed should restore your hard drive to a factory released state. Good Luck!
