I have a design for a new energy source that does not need fuel. what do I need to do.?

Most people just smile and say ya right, But I'am for real. It will work on a small scale or a large power plant. I just need to know what to do so people don't just say that it can not work.

Start by being a little more careful about how you present your idea.  If you begin with a comment that is fundamentally unbelievable, you may actually have a good idea but you have already thrown away your credibility.  It could be that you need somebody to sift through your concepts to uncover the real potential.  I have a cousin that is probably a genius in terms of putting together mechanical devices.  One day he told me that he has an idea for a perpetual motion motor.  Because he already has credibility with me on other fronts, I won't dismiss his comment out of hand.  He may not have a perpetual motion machine, but it is very likely he could have an improvement on existing technology.

My suggestion to you would be to try breaking your idea into small pieces and then ask questions about each piece.  That way you can build your knowledge base and protect your overall idea--if that is your agenda.  At some point you will have to fully disclose your idea or it will go nowhere.

You will need to prove that this is real.  Providing a detailed design for examination might be a good first step (be sure to get some iron clad secrecy agreements in place first.  You can also try to patent your design.  Once again, you will need to disclose the basis for the technology.

If you can prove that this works, you should have no problem getting investment money to pursue development.  

But be sure to watch out for the Evil Oil Companies as they will certainly be after you.

Doesn't need fuel?  Everything needs fuel, even solar or wind is a type of fuel.  Do you mean kinetic energy?
