  1. OK, if you have just one desktop, you should be fine.  Plus the network cable from the cable modem into your computer and you're good to go.

I can't be sure but it sounds like you bought another desktop, and you want to share the same connection?

In that case the easiest way to share the connection will be to buy a router.  You should expect to pay about 100 bucks for a decent router.  I suggest Linksys, although they get a bad rap from professional users sometimes, they are fine for what you want to do.

After reading a few pages of the quickstart guide you should be able to easily figure out how to set it up.

  2. i think u r service provider have networking cable(LAN).............. so u doesn't need any other accessory............

if it is not a networking cable(LAN).... then u may need modem.... broad band modem or another type of thing for that u have to contact the service provider

  3. you callyour local cable company setup an account with them and they come out and bring a cable modem and set it up for you, Or  they send it to you in  the mail* depenning on your particualr provider. Since you do not state which company it is impossible for me to give  you any  further information as each cable company is  a bit different... cable and fios are generaly the best use home apps avail...

  4. It is done through a cable modem that you can purchase or rent from your cable provider.

    good luck
