my friend's computer is running on dial up. the connect spd is something like 42 k/bs. is there any way i can increase the speed? for ex. any little tricks, or excelerators or anything?

i know its obvious it needs a sweep down with adware. but any other tips would be nice.

  1. lol there's really nothing you can do for dial up.. he NEEDS to upgrade. thats all there is to it, yahoo dsl, att, comcast or time warner cable.. personally i reccommend cable, its super fast, and always connected. i LOVE my comcast cable..

dial up is way outdated, way slow, and there's really no hope for it. they are trying to steer away from it so no ones really making improvements to it.

  2. There are MANY reasons for computer slow downs: DUST ! 1st ! GROUND YOURSELF BEFORE EVEN TOUCHING THE TOWER.disconnect all cables. open tower sides. using a can of compressed air, blow those dust bunnies away! a] not enough memory
