I have a dial up questio here.?

my friend's computer is running on dial up. the connect spd is something like 42 k/bs. is there any way i can increase the speed? for ex. any little tricks, or excelerators or anything?

i know its obvious it needs a sweep down with adware. but any other tips would be nice.

lol there's really nothing you can do for dial up.. he NEEDS to upgrade. thats all there is to it, yahoo dsl, att, comcast or time warner cable.. personally i reccommend cable, its super fast, and always connected. i LOVE my comcast cable..

dial up is way outdated, way slow, and there's really no hope for it. they are trying to steer away from it so no ones really making improvements to it.

There are MANY reasons for computer slow downs: DUST ! 1st ! GROUND YOURSELF BEFORE EVEN TOUCHING THE TOWER.disconnect all cables. open tower sides. using a can of compressed air,blow those dust bunnies away! a] not enough memory

Vista Aero::disable memory hog: start,control panel,personalize:Window Color & Appearance untick Enable Transparency.click ok::recently i've discovered that there are DUPLICATE folders just like on the start page. right click the personal folder [ your username,top right ] on the start page. select open,select links,select public.there are numerous files you can delete from: Public Pictures folder. the Sample pictures folder contain your desktop images. get rid of those that you don't want.Public Music,same here,Public Videos,same thing. do you see Recorded TV ? Vista has this folder. 150 MB's sitting there. delete what you don't want.the pictures that are used to change your personal folder's image is: start,computer,local disk drive (C),windows,users,web.delete what you will [ but not all,leave at least 1,lol ].
