  1. your usb may not be working dose the computer see the camera or see it as a hard drive? you may need to go into your cmos and see if your usb on set up and running. the camaer may be conflicting with another diriver

when you have it plug in go to device manager and see if you see any yellow ! that means you have some confiicks and you need to repair them. update the driver uninstall and reinstal roll back driver just depends on the driver and what its doing or not

  2. Try a different USB port. USB ports can burnout with no problem, and a lightning strike will do it easily. Your USB ports may not work anymore.

You can try to get Windows to reinstall the driver, if the driver was 'knocked out'.

    1.Start>Right-click on My Computer.

    2.Left-click on>Properties>Hardware tab>Device Manager.

3.Left-click on the + sign next to Universal Serial Bus controllers. Scroll down to the first USB Root Hub on the list. Right-click right on top of the name,(USB Root Hub) Now left-click on Properties, then left-click on Update Driver. Follow the wizards instructions.

Now here's a small issue. You have to do this for each USB Root Hub in this list. Why? Because you don't know which USB port it connects to. I have 7. This would be a 'Fun'(?) time!

Not saying this will work, but it's your best shot next to System Restore
