I got my wisdom teeth out about a week ago. I am still a little sore and swollen in my right cheek, but I can tell that I am progressing. However, ever since I got my wisdom teeth removed, there has been this very unique disgusting taste in my mouth that is hard to describe (but I know that it does not taste like iron/metal). I can tell that the bad taste is coming from the areas which I got my wisdom teeth removed. I have recently bought antiseptic mouthwash for myself which I have used twice today, it only makes the taste go away for about 5 minutes, but I can definitely tell that it is helping my healing process. My uncle told me to rinse my mouth out with salt water which I've only done once today, it helps but it doesn't completely get rid of the taste. Does this bad taste in my mouth mean it's infected? Or is it just part of the healing process? And is there anything else I can do for myself to help get rid of the taste in my mouth besides using salt water and mint flavored mouthwash?
