I have a dodge dakota rt 5.9 i wanted to know what muffler is better to get. Super 40 vs. Delta 50 flowmaster?

2000 dodge dakota rt ext cab.. i really want to know what one is better out of the two of them.

i have a 2003 dakota rt 5.9 reg cab flowmasters sound great dont get me wrong but i had a 40 on mine and in about 2 months it blew a cone and i did a little research and found this happens alot but anyways they seem to be kinda cheaply made j have a magnaflow on my truck now and havent had a problem since not quit as loud but sounds great but i plan to get a gibson setup to match my headers so my opinion i would go with magnaflow or gibson

When you’re asking which one is better, are you looking for Sound, Back pressure, Flow, weight, or cost? Personally I like the sound of the Delta 50, but I have found the 40's to give a little better Back pressure to keep the O2 and Computer from tripping a check engine light. Weight wise the 40 has less.

i have used the 40 series on my trucks and never had any problems fro those ,the flow masters sound better though and will probably last longer also,for the price difference in them though if i was going to get some id use the flow masters on it,they seem to be more popular these days,they all seem to be built good though and do come with a good warranty on them,good luck.

might want to look in to spintec mufflers they sound way better than  any flowmasters will.  goto  www.dakota-durango.com and ask the r/t guys about spintec sounds I am  sure they have some sound clips.

If you want it to sound old school cool go with a glass pack.
