I think that it would be pretty cool, actually.

It could help them improve their gifts so that they could eventually help other people.

I'd donate money to the cause. I guess your only problem would be, though, determining who is really psychic and who is faking it.

I don't think people would take it seriously. Imagine you're a university dean and you come across some on applying from a school for psychics.
