  1. you need to look on the back of your dvd player and see if there is a switch, if there is it should say pal auto and ntsc, if it is on pal and you want to watch a movie from usa then you flick the switch to ntsc, if this doesn't work or you don't have a switch then read your dvd player instruction manual and see if there are any codes you can type in to fix the problem, the strange thing is most dvd players are multi regional which means they can play all region movies, however there are a select few dvd players that can't play dvd's my mate lent me his movie connie and carla from usa, and i couldn't watch it at his house but on my dvd player it worked perfectly, if it doesn't work after all these steps then i recomend backing the movie up i backed up my mates connie and carla and it worked on there dvd player straight away, bit strange how the original can't play but the backup can, but thats one of those mysteries of life.

  2. It must just be scratched or something because there is no reason why and American DVD will not play in Australia... either that or the DVD player is broken.

  3. you ned to get ur dvd player unlocked if you no name and make of player type in this in google and you shoulc find code for free type this in google free region codes for (name ) (make)

  4. It's probably because of the code on it, I think there are different ranges and stuff which you can change on your computer, that's what happended to me.

  5. you should emigrate to the usa!
