  1. Fear of deep water is very common, it all depends on how good of a swimmer you are and how far to land you are, practice makes perfect, but never take risks, still have fun with your water sports but never be stupid, remember, safety first :)

  2. I'm not a very good swimmer, so I get nervous when I go into the deep end of the pool.

I don't know if you are a good swimmer or not, but if you aren't then that might be part of your phobia. If you are swimming in a lake, river, sea, or the ocean then I can understand your fear. You can't see what is underneath you, so you have no idea what is down there and if you have seen some of the horror movies it gives your imagination something go wild with.

  3. hey its our fear of not knowing what is below us and our imagination that does us in...don't feel bad i was terrified of deep water, then i started scuba diving, all sudden i was like wow, the water isn't that deep. and Ive been down 80 feet. its cool and takes the fear away, I've dove in the lakes of nys and i can tell you this, you wanna talk about fear...lol...but hey i loved it causes after you re underwater, its not so dark anymore, and I've done night diving in lake George in NY as well.....try diving, i think you'll overcome your fear of deep water as well...smiles

  4. Stay on dry land.

  5. Strange. You DO know that you can drown in 3 inches of water, right? And most ppl drown in their own bathrooms? Swimmers hardly ever drown in that depth unless they're in a rip tide or far out at sea. Come to think of it, even that is rare.

I've heard that hypnotism works. You might want to try self-hypnosis. It couldn't hurt!

  6. NO U R abnormal GONE CASE

  7. yeah, it's pretty normal.  a lot of people are afraid of the water.  i don't know how to overcome because if you try to swim 3m (i think that's like 9 feet in america) in the dark, you'll probably freak out and drown.  so, i wouldn't recommend it.  and why would you want to swim deep any way.  most pools are like 2m deep.
