I have a fear of insects, does that make me a sissy?

i have had a huge fear of bugs since kindergarden because a friend of mine put 4 spiders down my shirt, and just today i had to move some boxes around and some kind of insect crawled up my arm and i went berserk. my family always makes fun of me by saying stuff like what kind of guy is afraid of bugs, and mind as well chop your p***s off and become a girl, and all that nonsense. does my phobia of insects make me a sissy?

Shame on your parents....did they  tell you is not alright to cry too?  Very few men I know aren't afraid of spiders....I don't care how small they are, they are evil looking.....HUGS!!

Don't listen to them, they are just joking and with your friend don't show any weakness. The insects are dangerous and carry full of sickness.

check to see if they can get a bee in their hand. Off course my self don't even want to get close to roches. it does not matter what kind, in other hand some people eat them.  man I call that sissy

WOOOORD man

I HATE INSECTS, it causes me massive stress and anxiety knowing that there might be an insect around. If I spot one in my room, I WILL NOT REST till its killed.

So don't worry, my family calls me a ***** for being 22 and scared of bugs, but **** that, who cares.

No it doesn't.  I think if someone had put four spiders down my shirt at any given point, I would be scared of spiders too!  Don't listen to them.  Anyone can have a phobia (and it can be of anything) and that doesn't make you a "girl" or a "sissy" or anything else.  Hope this helps.

They're joking with you ... if you think you're a sissy .. then you'll become a sissy.

   If you look at this as a legitimate neurosis .. you can always get help for it.
