  1. Flying on a plain is safer then driving a car.

  2. Often facing the fear is helpful, if not, you might want to have a sedative on hand. Also, you might look at statistics.  Flying is much safer than a lot of other things that you probably do with little or no fear.

  3. there is probably medication you can take before the plane starts moving, that will hopefully put you to sleep through the flight. So you don't even know you're flying.

  4. 30 minutes prior to boarding pop a couple tylenol PMs. By the time you take off you'll be in a relaxed state and shortly after you will fall asleep.

Oh and vicodin is a better substitute that the tylenol PM because it numbs you, but doesn't put you to sleep.

  5. Yeah, facing the fear does help a lot. But also you should bring something to do on the flight. Listen to music, read a book, etc. Keep your mind off the situation.

  6. Okay, well I am still afraid of heights but planes seem to be no problem. I actually enjoy flying on planes and look forward to boarding the plane before and after a vacation or trip.

Bring a book and read for a while and maybe listen to some music to block out the loud sounds of the engines and close to windows to block out the vertigo views straight down. Also, remember that flying a plane is much safer than driving a car!

  7. Try out Jetblue airlines: they make you feel comfortable and take your mind off of it. Yes unless you want to go in a stimulator, face your fear.
