I have a feeling that China is being bullied by the world?

I can feel that people are getting more nasty towards China due to their government style and human rights abuse. But don you think that the people speak ill of Olympics held in Beijing have crossed the line of accusing China endlessly?

Chinese living in China are also the victims of a communist government, so why do they get insulted too? If the people from the west keep insulting China as a monstrous place, doesn't they (the west) also speak and create an image for themselves, like a devil who always like to comment about innocent people?

Poor thing

  1. that's our style

  2. Oh the World = the West.  This is the kind of think Westerner need to get rid off.  That is why no one respect what American thinks, because people in the West do not care what other thinks.

  3. Thank you VERY MUCH for TELLING the TRUTH!

  4. Who is fcukin' care?

Westerners forget their ancestors invaded us cruelly.

  5. I get that feeling as well. It seems to me that no matter what China does, the rest of the world will always be criticizing it. China is a communist country, but most people in China are fine with that. Most don't go around wishing for democracy. As for the human rights violations, it's wrong, but think of China's situation. China is still a developing country. It has a lot of issues to work through and no at the level of a developed country. Think to when America was still developing, there were also lots of human rights abuses. Look at the other developing countries, they also have lots of human rights abuses. It's not just China that has these violations.

The Olympics is not a Chinese event, it is an international even that just happens to be held in Beijing this time. Part of the reason China worked so hard to make the Olympics amazing is outside criticism. People should appreciate what China is trying to do rather than criticize it.

  6. I totally share your feeling. I am a Frenchman and lived in China for 3 years and was always welcomed and well treated.

Now in France we have people who have never been there and who are pouring abuse on the Chinese and I just feel ashamed for that.

China is a successful country and Chinese people are positive-minded and hard-working, it is a pity if that makes some people sour-minded...

  7. I think it goes to say about the state of the world.  The West overall did not have a starling view of China before the olympics.  It was questioned and filled with all kinds of controversy.  However, this did not change the fact that the greatest sports event ever is there.  And i think people are starting to accept that.  So far there is much up in the air about fake things that China has done to improve their image.  And there are reports after reports about what other countries think of these measures.  To be honest both parties are wrong.  I think China as much as they wanted the world to see them differently didn't realize that no amount of money in the world can buy respect and prestige.  Everyone already knows they are economically rich in some parts but not all.  By opening up to the media and the world they have to understand that the world would not only look at the pretty face of China but also the bad.  This is life and that is certainly a part of it.

China knows this will probably be the only olympics they will have there for quite some time so it was important to have things go right.  And I think for the most part they have done an excellent job in putting on a great show.  But it must not be ignored that people also want to see the real China.  Because the olympics is just two weeks of chance.  The global image can last a lifetime.  The other fault of other countries lies in how they are approaching China at this time.  They all wanted unlimited access so they could find the most greusome stories they could find, just to harm the image and that is not right.  Granted I want to see the real China beyond the games but i also want to see the joy China gets from hosting it.  The joy they get from being a part of an elite world club of cities that got a chance to hold the Olympics.  Those stories are just as important as the bad.  I think foreign media should understand that and perform stories that give rise to other countries wanting to get a chance sometime later in the future.  It goes hand and hand.

However in the end, i think it will go well and continue to do so.  The Chinese should be proud that they got this chance.  And we in light of all their problems and failings, should be proud with them.

  8. yeah China is being bullied . it`s because all the other countries don`t like Chinese people . they don`t like their culture, and stuff . i think being chinese is the best race to be .. [not to offend anyone] but black and mexican tend to hate on chinese people alot .

  9. i totally agree wit hyou, and it's been ages since i saw a view like yours here.

no matter what china does, if they go one way or ther other, it will always be wrong. always. and take the olypmics for example. when china wins a particular event, the west will start accusing them of faking, cheating, lying, etc.

i mean, if they're going to do that all the time, then there'll be no end to china's 'crimes'should they just rub china off the world map?

i'm actually a chinese-korean living in singapore, but i have always loved china and have always been proud of her. i appeal to all those who are critical of china to reflect on all your hurtful words.

the poor chinese don't deserve this. whether native or overseas.
