  1. You might be able to get a job in a private school.

  2. You can work in the field of education, without being a certified teacher.  There are "LIFT" teachers and teacher's aides that help students in small groups to do better in their basic skills like reading and math.  These professionals do not need as much college training.  Sometimes they can help out in schools with only a high school education.  Some work for online public schools, and do not work directly with students, thus they can get around many standard requirements.  If you want to work in the field of education, there is probably a way that you can still do so, but you may have to adjust your goals slightly.  Talk to a guidance counselor to so what he or she recommends, and show them this message so they have an idea where to point you.

  3. Get off his case about want/won't.  He is probably from the South.  Want and won't sound almost the same there (by some people anyway) because of the accent.  That is where the spelling problem comes from.

Edit:  It has been pointed out to me that this answer sounds as if I am calling Southerners unintelligent.  That was not my intention at all.  I was only  trying to explain a possible reason for the spelling mistake.  I do not think Southerners are unintelligent.

  4. uhmm to a creditr card company?

i doubt that its gonna ruin your carreer for becoming a teacher but it does give you a lesser chane to become one though.

if it was a on the side of theft/murder then =/

  5. How will you be able to teach if you don't know how to spell? lmao.

  6. It won't stop you from being a homeschool parent/teacher.

Contact the school you want to attend and ask if a felony conviction will prevent you from teaching in your area.  They may not even accept you as a student with a felony.

And yes, sometimes the type of felony matters.  I don't know if credit card theft is one that would end your teaching dreams.  Obviously there are more serious felonies like murder, but credit card theft strikes most of us personally so it might not set well with a school board.

    Good luck :D

  7. You should go to jail!

  8. Depends on who you are teaching. Teaching adults a computer class? Probably not a big deal. Teaching 8 year olds probably not a good idea. Any record is not going to be good even if it is of a financial nature. Credit Card fraud is not cool.

  9. try getting it expunged from your record...this requires money and a lawyer...but try it..

  10. First of all, you need to learn to spell better, and brush up on your grammar. You can only become a teacher if you go to college and get a BA in education. Talk to the people at the college and see what they will say. I really think you should look into another line of work.

  11. Well, if you have been convicted of a felony I would bet no school would be allowed to hire you even if you could get your degree. Sorry, but I am sure no school board would aprove your hiring. It would just be too much of a liability and there are plenty of teachers out there who don't have a felony record.

  12. Judging by the spelling of your question....

    Maybe consider something else? lol....

  13. You need to speak with a lawyer and the local teacher union in your area. Schools most likely will not hire a convicted felon and chances are they will not care about what the felony was for.    I know this is not what you wanted to hear.

And as for having your record expunged, as another poster suggested, you may be able to do this but the conviction will ALWAYS remain in the NCIC database. And since criminal background checks for educational persons are run through the state police and the NCIC system there is NO WAY to hide the conviction.

  14. might be lucky but I'd learn to spell want- won't

  15. Depends on what state you live in but most likely and surely like 99% yes! Sry. No school would want to hire someone who will give their students a bad example( not that you will) but that is the mentality of school boards. Good luck

  16. I would say... that you learn how to spell. Won't and Want are two very different words, and if you have to have the people in the homeschooling section help you out, well... I might consider a different career for you :)

Like maybe... robbing the national spelling bee or something?

  17. I knew this guy who couldn't get a job because he had a criminal record for shoplifting.

Unfortunately, Americans are really paranoid and with the economy slowing down, you won't become a teacher.

By the way, if you got a felony for soemthing with a credit card, what do you have to lose?

  18. sorry ur screwed

unless you get your record expunged

and even then idk if you can

but anyone with a felony is not allowed to work as a teacher

  19. Every one has problem with Credit, that has nothing to do with your job. so the other way I can say it is not federal just basic credit problem like rest of people.
