I need to know symptoms of female, cocker spaniel dog pregnancy. The male dog we have has been following her around a lot lately and her stomach seems to be a bit bigger. We do not know when her last heat cycle was. I just need a website that is based on this type of information of if someone could just give me the information, that would be great. Thanks much.

  1. the best thing to do is to go to a vet ask about sign of a dog getting pregnant if that don't keep that away your dog

  2. The best thing to do is have your vet give her an exam. Please consider having them spayed/neutered.

  3. it doesnt matter what the symptoms are, dogs can still go thru false pregnancy as well and have all the same symptoms.

You need to take her to a vet to confirm pregnancy and figure out when her due date is.

  4. you cant decisively know until she is close. Her teats will grow, she will eat more, her stomach will expand outwards as well as down. She will try and nest around the house/yard by digging holes or pulling dog beds/jumpers into a corner.

Take her to the vet for a test. If it is still early enough she can have an abortion or just spay her and the vet can remove the puppies as well. If you want to keep the puppies then the vet will help you with nutrition, preparing for birth and how to raise them.

  5. when a female comes into heat there are 3 phases:

1st phase >dogs get interested in the female, will start to follow around but the female will not allow the male to mount her.she will also be bleeding

2nd phase >the v***a(private part) is very swollen, the bleeding subsides to a light pink discharge, she now allows the male to mount and breed to her

3rd phase>if breeding took place and she took(gets pregnant) the v***a will remain big throughout her pregnancy,if she did not get pregnant her v***a will start to shrink.the inexperienced male will continue to follow her around but the female will no longer allow the male to mount her.so in essence she cannot be pregnant and at the same time the male is following her around for mating purposes.so more than likely she is just starting to come into her heat cycle.
