I have a ferret who is a year old. She's been sleeping non stop ever since i got her FN. Depression? Perhaps?

I think she might miss her old cage, was a purple and green super pet cage. She hardly moves around in her new Ferret Nation. I'm really worried. She's never slept this much. Just constantly sleeping. And she sleeps so much, i hardly ever see her get up to eat. Her p**p looks normal. I let her out every day, but lately, when i let her out, she just goes somewhere to curl up and sleep..

It all started when i bought her the cage. She had the old one ever since she was a baby. I really want to help her if she's sad. But she acts so tired.. i don't know whether to let her sleep or not.

I haven't stopped watching her ever since i got the new cage, i never stop listening out for her.

Please help. :(

Put her in her old cage if you have it and see what happens.

If she does not eat or drink you may have a problem but if she eats and drinks alot she may just be growing! if it really starts worring you take her to the vet

she may just need some time to get used to the new cage. give her a month or so. ferrets usually forget about that kind of stuff after a few days or a week, like if they lose a cage mate it won't take long for them to forget them.

if you're really worried about your ferret, try exchanging the new cage for another purple and green super pet cage. it'll look the same to her, but it won't smell the same, but it might help her.
