First; How can I go to Crciklewood from stansted?

Second; How can I go to holborn from Cricklewood and how much may it cost?

Third; I would like to buy a travel card. Can it be used on train and metro(rail-subway) and also on buses?

fourth; Is Cricklewood a convenient place to travel at night?

  1. 1. You could drive to Cricklewood and it would take about 40(without traffic)(with traffic it would probably take 1 hour to 1 hour and 25 minutes) minutes.

    2. To get to Holborn you could drive and it would take about 25(without traffic)(with traffic it would probably take 30 to 45 minutes) minutes or you could take the tube which would take about 30 minutes but you would also have to change the line you are on once and it would cost anywhere from £3.00 to £8.00

    3. You could get an Oyster Card and use it on the Tube, trams, DLR, London Overground, and some National Rail Services in London. They can store up to £90.00.

    4. It depends on traffic and the person.

  2. the previous answers give you a lot of useful information ... a good resource for getting around London is the Transport for London website www.tfl.gov.uk ... the journey planner on the home page is very useful, the tube map at http://www.tfl.gov.uk/assets/downloads/s... is something you'll want to study, and there are also details of the Oyster card on the website

  3. Cricklewood is in north London, about 6 miles from the centre of town.

It doesn't have an underground station, but is about ten minutes walk to Willesden Green (Jubilee Line) and ten minutes by bus to Golders Green (Northern Line) underground lines.  Willesden Green is in zones 2 and 3, and Golders Green is in zone 3.

There are a lot of buses that head towards the city from Cricklewood Broadway...

Otherwise, there is a mainline station just off the Broadway with a service about every 15 mins towards Luton Airport, and one in the other direction towards West Hampstead, Kings Cross, City Thameslink, London Bridge, Gatwick Airport and Brighton.

Your best bet getting to and from Stanstead would be to jump on a national express coach to Finchley Road, walk towards West Hampstead (about five minutes) and get a train or bus to Cricklewood.

Complicated I know, but have a good trip!
