I have a few questions about comcast dvr?

Question

1. there a spot where you can plug in a dvd player or vcr. But which one do I use front or back and what channel does it have to be on

2. There are 2 usb ports is it possible to get saved shows on my computer through usb cord or another usb device.

Answer to your first question is neither. You should actually hook your dvd player or vcr to your tv. If your tv does not have the connection inputs to do so, you would need to buy a RF Modulator. $10

Second, the usb ports are active, but you are not able to get your recordings from your DVR to your computer. You can however record live tv, I'm not sure if you can with the USB port, or if only the firewire have that capability. To do this you need to download the correct software onto your computer. It's not the easiest process, but it's doable.
